24 Hour Live-in care

This is a service that we offer around the clock. We provide several staff members with rotated shifts throughout the day to the clients.

Live-in care usually means a carer lives in your home, but often after discussing the options clients are happy for there to be shifts patterns put in place, so a 24 hour period is covered.

You can choose the timings of shifts, choose the carers and you will receive a weekly rota, so you feel more in control of the care you are receiving.

Night shifts vary from late starts, to wake-in and sleep-in nights. The rate of 24 hour live in is worked out on a weekly care basis. This service is referred by social services or some clients prefer to opt for this service where they self-fund for the live-in care package.

Companion Care

Ask Care’s social companionship service gives you the support you need to live independently providing you with the assistance of a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker at times to suit your convenience.

Our social companionship service is most suited to individuals who will benefit from having the reassurance that someone is there with them to offer support when it is needed. It also provides peace of mind for family members who are unable to regularly visit, as they know their loved one is being cared for.

Our carers, who are carefully selected to match your personality and requirements, will provide company and conversation, as well as provide support with household and social activities. Your service is tailored to your requirements and can be adapted to meet your changing needs. We will also arrange for you to meet your carer before your care package commences to ensure that you are happy.

For those clients who require a friendly face to talk to, may be you or someone who you know lives alone and is isolated or feeling lonely, then we can provide that friendly support service on an hourly basis, depending on your needs.

Have a support worker, make you a cup of tea, talk about you experiences and share your most cherished memories. For more information we can discuss your needs further and match you to a staff member who fits your profile.

Domestic Care & House Keeping

Our trained staff can help keeping your house clean and tidy and staying on top of the ‘chores’.

We can help with all sorts of tasks including, food and drink preparation, light housekeeping tasks (such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, washing, ironing and changing bed linen) alongside help with errands such as shopping or collecting prescriptions.

Whether you or your family member require help every day or once a week, help with the household chores can provide great relief, especially for people who may suffer from mobility around the home.

Please contact us to discuss your Domestic Care needs with one of our team.

Palletive care

We have dedicated care teams who specialise in providing care to people who may have a terminal illness or a life threatening illness. At times theses illness may not be cured but the care given can improve the quality of life of the person and their families.

We have staff who are qualified nurses to assist with palliative care clients, giving them the best quality of care and relief , whilst in their own homes. Working with multidisciplinary teams, such as macmillan and marie curie nurses gives us the added advantage to ensure that the client is best looked after during their difficult time, making sure that they have all the support and assistance needed in their home.

The main objective of our Palliative care at home service is to achieve the best quality of life for you as well as your family. We understand that your family and friends may have strong feelings about your condition and it may be difficult for you to express your feelings for fear of upsetting them.

We can help you and your loved ones to discuss your feelings and provide extra support, should your loved ones need to take a break. In addition, we can provide support through periods of bereavement.

As part of our sensitive palliative care at home service, we ensure that you are treated as an individual, with dignity and respect. We will provide you with a personalised care plan that will take into account your needs, preferences and choices. We also like to ensure continuity of care, which is why we only select a small number of carers to work with you and get to know your personality and preferences.
