Our aims & Objectives

The main aims of ASK Care Ltd. are to provide an individualised personal care and support service that is empowering and promotes independence where possible, while being designed to meet the individual goals of each service user based on the outcomes as determined by the commissioners of the care package.

  • Ensure that the Care Service is delivered flexibly, attentively and in a non-discriminatory fashion while respecting each service user’s human rights as well as their right to independence, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, and the right to make informed choices and to take risks.
  • Ensure that the Service Provision is delivered in accordance with the agreed Contracts for Care, which may be from Social Services, CCG, be private or through Direct Payments.
  • Ensure that each service user’s needs and values are respected in matters of religion, culture, race or ethnic origin, sexuality and sexual orientation, political affiliation, marital status, parenthood and disabilities or impairments.
  • Ensure that each service user’s spiritual requirements are respected and where needed, liaise with the local community to ensure those needs are met.
  • Deliver a service of the highest quality that will improve and sustain the service user’s overall quality of life.
  • Ensure all service users are actively involved, where possible, in devising their own personalised support plan based on their assessed needs and abilities.

If a service user lacks the capacity to make their own decisions about their care provision and their support plan, then family members or key people are invited to be involved in the care planning process to represent their needs.

Service users and their relatives are invited to review all support plans and risk assessments on a regular basis. Support plans and risk assessments are reviewed six monthly unless there has been an event or any changes that require a care plan to be reviewed and changed within that timescale.

The person-centred approach to care planning and delivery aims to foster an atmosphere of partnership between ASK Care Ltd. as the care provider and the service user (their family or representative where appropriate) and support which both enables and encourages our service users to share their goals and outcomes with us in order to enable ASK Care Ltd. to tailor their care to their own diversity needs safely and within the bounds of the requirements of the placement contract.

ASK Care Ltd. aims to use a team worker system, whereby each service user has a care team, the size of which depends on the number of calls and the number of carers required to meet the needs of the service user.  This care team will develop a special interest and knowledge of the service users they care for, their life history and their preferences for how they choose to have their care delivered.
